Just wanted to update things with Dad as I know it. Maybe MK or Jake can enlighten us more.
Last evening, the nursing home took dad to the ER. He had a large knot come up on his chest. They called MK and her and Jake went to ER and stayed and took Dad back to Nursing home after the visit. The knot was from blood bleeding through, seems his cumadin level was 5. And way to high so his blood was way to thin. This is the "rat Killer" stuff dad calls it, that thins blood so there is no clotting to cause problems with his heart valve. While there, they did find the reason for all his itching, and they are treating it now. So all in all, it was a good trip for him. I am sure with MK and Jake, getting home at 2am and up this am was not fun, however!
This is all I know for now. They are adjusting his blood levels over the next few days. Will fill you in with more details as they become available, or maybe MK or Jake will leave a note about things I left out.
