John Junior Moffat

John Junior Moffat, 92, of Lexington died Tuesday, Nov. 2, at Lexington Nursing Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell. Committal service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Oakland Cemetery near El Reno with the Rev. Wayne Brown officiating. Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell is handling arrangements.

Mr. Moffat was born Aug. 8, 1912, in Piedmont, to John K. and Bertha Nelson Moffat. He married Clara Schumacher Aug. 18, 1936, in Chickasha, where they raised four children. They moved in 1946 to a farm one mile north of Lexington. There, Mr. Moffat was a farmer until he retired in 1977.

Mr. Moffat is survived by his son Jim Moffat and wife Delta of Lexington; daughters Joanna Wilson and husband Clinton of Norman and Doris Rowland and husband Jim of Lexington; brother Ivan Moffat and wife Freda of El Reno; sisters-in-law Fannie Moffat of El Reno and Elinore Moffat of Perkins; grandchildren Don and Joyce Wilson of Bixby, Deanna and Bob Boyd of Tulsa, Susan and Steve Rush of Porter, Jerry and Susan Moffat of Lexington and Cheryl and Travis Hyde of Lexington; 13 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
