Service for Dad will be....

The service for Dad will be at Lost Creek United Methodist Church, Stillwater, OK with Rev. Max Rudd. Strode Funeral Home in Stillwater, OK. is in charge of arrangements and burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Stillwater, OK.
It will be at 10:30am this coming Thursday Morning, with a family dinner at the church following the service and all are invited to attend. The grandson's and Dennis Henry and Bruce Fields will be pallbears.

We will print the obit a bit later today. Dad was most honored as Payne County Cattleman of the Year... and his obit starts... Payne County Cattleman Oscar....

A wonderful memory was the trip he and I took three weeks ago... I loaded up Dad in his own 4 wheel drive Chevy truck... and headed to his kingdom... We traveled all the land that day.. all... went places chevy trucks are not supposed to go.. and one place we ended up was up high on the place across the road from his home.. up high on the ole sand hill... and dad set there and wept.... and said he had not been up there in years.. and how wonderful it was to see things he had not seen in years... and .............................. we both wept.... little did we know.. but maybe both suspected....

Payne County Cattleman Oscar Lee Moffat passed away in restful sleep at 3:20am today, September 13, 2004, one month before his next birthday. Son Stan was with him and reported that it was very peaceful, and that Oscar in fact knew he was "going home" to be with loved ones he had not seen in years.
He will be missed and loved forever.

Arrangements will be with Strode's Funeral Home, Stillwater, OK. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Garden, South of Stillwater on Highway 177. Services will be set and more details later today on site. Family meets at Strodes at 10am. to make plans.

May God watch over and bless Elinore (Mom) through her time of need. She has been a real inspiration to the family and our corner stone through all this. And Dad and her were soulmates, not just husband and wife, or mom and dad, or grandpa and grandma, or great grandmother and father...... There is no doubt he is in Heaven and rejoicing and not having any pain!
