for the history of it...
Just a quick note to the kiddos...
Gene Hauf, who is owner of Hauf Auto Supply/Salvage next door to the studio and with whom I have been friends with since we moved to Stillwater, recently told me about how he used to ride his bike as a kid out to the old airport hangers on our land and they would climb up in the rafters and catch the pigeons ... and he lived in Stillwater, I think he said on Ramsey Street! He also said another great source for photos of the old airport would be the old shoe cobbler... who's name escapes me now, but he has passed away and his daughter now lives in his home... they lived across the street from where orville boyer used to live.. Gene said if he remembers right, there are tons of photos of the way it was back then... all I know for now.. this is also to remind me to follow up on this too.. haha... later.. just some FYI stuff...

Silence is not just not talking
Silence is not just not talking. It's a void. It's a place where all things come from. All voices, all creation comes out of this silence. So when you're standing on the edge of silence, you hear things you've never heard before, and you hear things in ways you've never heard them before. --John Francis

Jake
Jake made it home for a whirlwind tour... haha... he came in late Saturday night and then left Sunday evening. They got one day off and were to hit it again today, heading to Freedom to rebuild another rig on site before it "turns to the right". And with the kind of money that it takes to get things turning, they will be pressured every step of the way! He and another young man from Glencoe are the main team and seem to be enjoying the hard work and long hours and this will be the fourth rig they have rebuilt on their own. It's amazing to think of what they are doing, and how, and where and when, and remember when Jake was just burning rod at Grandpa Moffat's .... He is really enjoying the work and accomplishments and his bosses seem to be glad. It was a joy to have him home, any time he comes.

We are all kindred spirits in terms of our humanity
We are all kindred spirits in terms of our humanity -- in terms of our relationship to the horizontal human experience. We are all kindred spirits with more connection than differences without even taking the vertical -- the Spiritual relationship -- into consideration. --Robert Burney
