ok kiddos...
we now have the latest trampoline up, but not tied down, thanks to Paul and Heather for their late night emergency run to moffat park to help...
and to Trisha for all her help and Jake too...
now we need some garden art pieces... hint: Phil! Jake!
and we need a Barrel Train ride, and a tree house, and a tree swing, and a zip kline between trees, and a fountain in the spring, and a recirculating pump on the water falls at the spring, and a gazibo with nets. and a windmill,
ok.. what we really need is some Craig "Bar H Ranch" cookin'...
To demonstrate the comic genius of George Carlin, Dick Gregory says...
While I did not agree with most of his thoughts or writings or sayings... I realized early on the man was a genius at writing things that were thought provoking... He had a true gift, and even though I did not agree with his philosophy, I truly loved his wit and the ability to say in an instant something that could get my "motor" running... haha...
Men of this caliber don't come along every day, so we must learn to realize greatness in front of our eyes...
Even in this coming election, if you look past the headlines of the minute, the tale of two wives, the color of each, and just examine the man and his experience and his capacity to lead, his skills in leading with things a leader must possess such as wisdom, tenacity, compromise, and inspire by his actions, not just with words... there is no doubt there is only one true leader running for President of the United States... only one in the race that has the wisdom of years of learning, who sets an example of patriotism and leadership by his own actions, who truly has been tested... and when the race ends, and the other candidate crys fowl due to his color.. and he will or his people will, one will be able to take solace in the fact that a decision was made on one thing alone, the skills a leader needs to lead and his actions of the past... not of the smooth elitist talker who had zero skills, and zero wisdom of years, and has no past of "love of country" till he wanted to be king....
peace, love and joy to all...

this and that... and then some more.. hahe
I think this writing will be about a boy born 26 years ago today....
My my how time flys when one is having fun... Mrs. Moffat's baby boy, Jacob Daniel Moffat, celebrated his 26 birthday on the face of this earth today... by working 12 hours in the Goober Drilling yard over hauling a drilling rig getting it ready to go back out and work...
and he has another reason to celebrate...
He passed his X-Ray Structure Welding Test and is now certified to weld on all thickness on any structures in the oil field or elsewhere. He had to make many different types of welds in different positions and then the welds were gathered up and taken to the lab and they underwent x-rays to look for any imperfections or problems and he had NONE!! Many welders and men can weld, but not all have passed this very hard test with such flying colors!!
Needless to say... His Mom and I are very very proud of him.
And now 26 years later he is a certified welder who owns his own business, making great wages, married to a wonderful lady Trisha who is the Mother of his first born baby girl Isabella Ann...
So with this writing... Jacob Daniel "Jake" Moffat... we salute you and all you have accomplished. We wish you a very happy birthday and many many more...
love you...

When the good Lord was creating Fathers......
When the good Lord was creating Fathers ... He started with a tall frame.
A female angel nearby said, "What kind of Father is that? If you're going to make children so close to the ground, why have you put the Fathers up so high? He won't be able to shoot marbles without kneeling, tuck a child in bed without bending, or even kiss a child without a lot of stooping."
God smiled and said, "Yes, but if I make him child-size, who would children have to look up to?"
And when God made a Father's hands, they were large and sinewy.
The angel shook her head sadly and said, "Do you know what you're doing? Large hands are clumsy. They can't manage diaper pins, small buttons, rubber bands on ponytails, or even remove splinters caused by baseball bats."
Again God smiled and said, "I know, but they're large enough to hold everything a small boy empties from his pockets at the end of a day, yet small enough to cup a child's face."
Then God molded long, slim legs and broad shoulders.
The angel nearly had a heart attack. "Boy, this is the end of the week, all right," she clucked. "Do you realize you just made a Father without a lap? How is he going to pull a child close to him without the kid falling between his legs?"
God smiled and said, "A Mother needs a lap. A Father needs strong shoulders to pull a sled, balance a child on a bicycle, or hold a sleepy head on the way home from the circus."
God was in the middle of creating two of the largest feet anyone had ever seen when the angel could not contain herself any longer. "That's not fair. Do you honestly think those large boats are going to dig out of bed early in the morning when the baby cries? Or walk through a small birthday party without crushing at least three of the guests?"
Again God smiled and said, "They'll work. You'll see. They'll support a small child who wants to ride a horse to Banbury Cross, or scare off mice at the summer cabin, or display shoes that will be a challenge to fill."
God worked throughout the night, giving the Father few words, but a firm, authoritative voice and eyes that saw everything, but remained calm and tolerant.
Finally, almost as an afterthought, He added tears. Then he turned to the angel and said, "Now, are you satisfied that he can love as much as a Mother?"
The angel said nothing more.
