Ok.. MOM... you need to teach Ms. Maddie about the crossing of legs.. haha...
I found this print on Jake's wall...
It was given to me for being the high volumn seller of Cattle cubes one winter... and it is the copy of the print used on their SuperCharged Cattle Cubes... ACCO FEEDS in okc... love the company and the top brass there.. well, ok, the older top brass..... It was really fun selling a great product, and this cattle cube was just that, top notch~
What a weekend....
wow.... time flys when you are having fun... haha...
On Friday evening, we celebrated Paul's birthday... the .... shhhhhhh.... XXX Anniversary of his 29th B'day.... (It was really Sunday...) We all got together minus Jonathan and family to celebrate... had a big ole time, sure did miss Randi, Jon and kiddos.... but 3 dollar gas and a 100 miles does make it a bit harder... smiling... We love it when we do get to see them...
On Friday evening, Ann started the dishwasher to wash all the dishes from our gathering, and smoke soon filled our kitchen. Uncle Mike (Ann's brother who farms the family land between Helena and Jet and lives on the farm still today...) came down to spend the night with us and he was the first to notice it... and then it got to really smelling.. so we have a fried dishwasher we think...
and then on Saturday we went with Bob and Sharon Priess, family friends for a long time (our kiddos and theirs were part of the weekend traveling carney show.. we called it, of kiddos who showed steers... on weekends) to eat at a new place to us and it is under new ownership too... Lucilles in Mulhall, OK. It is in the old bank on main street and they have some really great food and live entertainment... a friend of Jake's was playing ... Jake Walker, from Stillwater, so we had it all... great food, great friends, good music... and a nice relaxing evening...
and keeping with the 'when it rains it pours' .... on Sunday afternoon, Ann went to wash some clothes and noticed the washer was not working correctly... the agitator was not doing it's 'thingy'.... so we got to looking and the washer is about 18 years old and the dishwasher is about 15 years old.... so off to Lowe's we went... and yes.. new ones are coming today....
It's amazing. We found the old bill of sale on them and they cost about 25 more today than all those years ago... but i bet the new ones weigh about half.... now if they will just last as long.. haha...
and then Sunday night, we had quite time for Ann to relax... and watched the movie Jake brought over by Mel Gibson.. (YES IT WAS LONG... like all his movies, I guess he has not heard the saying... "less is more".... sigh) but it is good .. titled Apocalypto...
and then it's off to work... later ... have a great day....
