Just thinking out loud.... several state questions coming up when we vote in a couple of weeks... just voicing my opinion... we all have them...

SQ 744: School funding; vote no
SQ 746: Voter ID; vote yes

SQ 747: Statewide office term limits; vote YES

SQ 748: Legislative apportionment; vote no
SQ 750: Petition signatures; vote yes
SQ 751: Official English; vote YES
SQ 752: Judicial nominations; vote yes
SQ 754: State budgeting rules; vote YES
SQ 755: Sharia law; vote YES -
The question would prohibit the use of international or
Sharia law when cases are decided in Oklahoma courts.
SQ 756: Health care opt-out; vote YES
SQ 757: Rainy Day Fund; vote yes

What I was hoping to do is to get you to look these up and read them and make decisions before you go to the booth...  I might be wrong.. .so read them ahead of time... and then vote vote vote......

And just saying... if you caught last night's debate between the ladies running for Governor of Oklahoma, I am sure you were as amazed as I was.

One took the high ground, exhibited leadership. tenacity, confidence, experience and knowledge and class, and the wisdom from being in the hunt...

while the other dug her heels in like an ole coon dog ready for a fight, ate up by "mad", and often could not complete sentences since she was so mad... shame. She was on the defensive before she needed to be and was always defending... and missed so many opportunities to put her spin on things, never coming up for air and getting on the offense. Poor leadership and even less of a command of where she was. Just about the same arrogance that Obubba has with folks.. talking down, and never stating any two words together that make sense. Always acting like a kid caught in the cookie jar... and puffing out her chest like an ole rooster crowing about what little she has done to try to spin it into a mountain!!

lesson one in this world, never show you are afraid, or scared, or that you are down... and never never never be the one in a debate that goes on the defense, before you know what it is you are defending...

Again... all I am offering is my personal opinion... be it what it is... so take time, listen and see what you see, make an informed decision, and remember to vote. If I were guessing you should be able to vote on the Friday, Saturday and Monday before "election day"... so you have numerous days to "get'er" done, if not for you then for those that come after us...

For some of my ole buddies in New England... I am praying for you, but YOU have to take charge...

There's a Reason They Call Him 'Dick'
If the Bush administration ever treated terrorism suspects the way Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal treats law-abiding citizens and small businesses, even conservatives would have blanched.

This activist, interventionist Democrat -- like his identical, slightly less oily twin, Eliot Spitzer -- decided at age 5 he was going to be a U.S. senator and then the first Jewish president. And he doesn't care how many lives he has to destroy to get there.

Currently, Blumenthal is running for the U.S. Senate against Linda McMahon in Connecticut. He must be stopped.

Even his ideological ally, The New York Times, thinks he must be stopped. That paper ran a front-page expose on Blumenthal's lies about having served in Vietnam, violating a century-old Times tradition of never printing information unflattering to a Democrat.

Blumenthal apologized for lying about being in Vietnam, saying, "I take full responsibility." Who else was he considering blaming? The voices in his head?

Among Blumenthal's taxpayer-funded citizen-persecution projects was the one he waged against Gina Kolb, owner of Computer Plus Center in East Hartford.

After selling $17.2 million worth of computers and servers to the state in 2001, Kolb found herself being sued by Blumenthal for $1.75 million for allegedly overcharging the state $500,000.

Publicity-whore Blumenthal sent out an accusatory press release about Kolb, saying: "No supplier should be permitted to shortchange or overcharge the state without severe consequences."

Soon thereafter, Kolb was arrested at her home on seven first-degree larceny charges, courtesy of Connecticut's crazily hyperactive attorney general.

Wonder why you have a $4 billion deficit, Nutmeggers? Blumenthal's endless investigations into responsible, law-abiding citizens like Kolb have now cost more than the entire Iraq War. (And that's just the cost of the paper for Blumenthal's 12 billion press releases!)

A court dismissed all charges against Kolb and her company in 2008. But not before this female businesswoman had her company completely shattered by the pathologically ambitious attorney general.

I'm sorry, I know you need to be on television every single day, Dick, but that's not enough of a reason to destroy innocent citizens' lives, much less use taxpayer money to do so.

Kolb was far from the only innocent citizen persecuted by Blumenthal. The reason we know her story is that, instead of moving as far away from Connecticut as she could, Kolb turned around and sued the state for violating her constitutional rights.

The jury agreed, awarding her $18 million for Blumenthal's "pattern of conduct" that destroyed Kolb's business and impugned her integrity.

Noticeably, the attorney general who spends most of his waking hours phoning reporters, holding press conferences and issuing press releases did not make a peep about Kolb's total vindication in court, despite his having earlier blackened her name. Perhaps he was busy attending a fake Vietnam veterans' reunion that day.

To the contrary, Blumenthal continued using the power of his office to persecute Kolb. This is the problem with government officials using taxpayer money to further their own political ambitions: No one could tell him to cut his losses and stop harassing Kolb.

Blumenthal filed a blizzard of motions -- at taxpayer expense -- appealing the jury's verdict in favor of Kolb. One of them finally succeeded in getting a judge to reduce the damages to Kolb, who presumably is now living in Hawaii under an assumed name so Blumenthal doesn't start making crank calls to her.

(She should go to Vietnam! Blumenthal will never find her there!)

Connecticut taxpayers spent millions of dollars harassing this innocent businesswoman, successfully destroying a profitable, job-creating computer company in the state and one law-abiding taxpayer in the process. Thanks, Dick!

Blumenthal's 24-hour publicity office managed to produce a gleaming press release on the reduction of Kolb's damages award, in which he vowed to "continue fighting to overturn this verdict."

Asked by Charles Kochakian of the New Haven Register about the case and whether Blumenthal ever released a statement when a victim of his legal harassment was vindicated, Blumenthal essentially said: No one is ever vindicated. Just because no wrongdoing was found, he said, doesn't mean wrongdoing didn't occur.

Welcome to Connecticut, where you're guilty until proved innocent (and you can never be proved innocent).

Most shockingly, Blumenthal said he would never issue a press release about one of his publicly accused targets being vindicated because "new evidence may well emerge."

"New evidence may well emerge" that Dick Blumenthal is a child molesting ax murderer. But until it does, no one has a right to say so. Hello? ACLU? Heard of Dick Blumenthal?

Everyone in Connecticut knows Blumenthal's name, largely on account of his daily press conferences for nearly two decades as attorney general, announcing lawsuits to combat every minor inconvenience. Arby's served jalapeno poppers at 114 degrees? Blumenthal is holding a press conference at noon!

This hyperactive, publicity-mad lunatic is constantly announcing new lawsuits far beyond the purview of his office, like some New England version of Hugo Chavez. This won him the title: "Worst Attorney General in the Country" from the Competitive Enterprise Institute.

He's sued power companies for contributing to "global warming," asking the courts to impose cap and trade -- a bill so absurd neither Obama nor the Democratic Senate will touch it.

He's sued gun companies, trying to hold them responsible for criminal acts by third parties involving guns.

He's sued tobacco companies so he could extort millions of dollars for his old law firm and other legal cronies overseeing the shakedown -- I mean "settlement."

Blumenthal is now in a tight race with Linda McMahon for the U.S. Senate. I understand why Connecticut would like to get rid of him, but that's no reason to foist this menace on the rest of the country. How about sending him to Vietnam?

Happy Birthday Dad....

I woke up thinking of Dad and his Birthday today... and now I know he sent me a sign to let me know he was excited that I was thinking of him... The sign is being reported as a 'earthquake' of the 4.5 mag with the center about 6 miles north of Norman...

If they would have checked with me I could have reported it was Dad doing his "jumping for joy" that he did when he was excited.. since he knew it was his birthday and he knew I remembered.. he was jumping in heaven for joy...   and all of heaven is a rockin'! Oklahoma too.

From Heather... this am...

Caring Police:
I get irritated when people come down on our police officers unfairly, saying, "They do not care." Well here is a story that shows not all cops are in that category.
The Joplin, MO police department reported finding a man's body last Saturday in the Spring River near the Empire Electric Plant. The dead man's name would not be released until his family had been notified.
The victim apparently drowned due to excessive beer consumption while visiting "someone" in Riverton, KS. He was wearing black fishnet stockings, a red garter belt, a pink G-string, purple lipstick, and an Obama t-shirt.
The police removed the Obama t-shirt to spare his family any unnecessary embarrassment.
This is proof positive that police really do care!

HEAVEN AND HELL - from Missy

HEAVEN AND HELL

While walking down the street one day a Corrupt Senator was tragically hit by a car and died.

His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.

"Welcome to heaven," says St. Peter. "Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so we're not sure what to do with you."

"No problem, just let me in," says the Senator..

"Well, I'd like to, but I have orders from the higher ups. What we'll do is have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity."

"Really?, I've made up my mind. I want to be in heaven," says the Senator.

"I'm sorry, but we have our rules."

And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell.

The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course. In the distance is a clubhouse and standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him.

Everyone is very happy and in evening dress. They run to greet him, shake his hand, and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at the expense of the people.

They played a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster, caviar and the finest champagne.

Also present is the devil, who really is a very friendly guy who is having a good time dancing and telling jokes.

They are all having such a good time that before the Senator realizes it, it is time to go.

Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and waves while the elevator rises...

The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens in heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him, "Now it's time to visit heaven.."

So, 24 hours passed with the Senator joining a group of contented souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing. They have a good time and, before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter returns.

"Well, then, you've spent a day in hell and another in heaven. Now choose your eternity."

The Senator reflects for a minute, then he answers: "Well, I would never have said it before, I mean heaven has been delightful, but I think I would be better off in hell."

So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell..

Now the doors of the elevator open and he's in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage. He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and putting it in black bags as more trash falls from above.

The devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulders.

"I don't understand," stammers the Senator. "Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and clubhouse, and we ate lobster and caviar, drank champagne, and danced and had a great time. Now there's just a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable. What happened?"

The devil smiles at him and says,
 "Yesterday we were campaigning ...

 Today, you voted.."

Showcasing Local Talent
Entertainment Showcase a hit

1600kush.com
10/10/2010

Photos by Donna Judd
This year's Entertainment Showcase featured an assortment of local talent - singers, songwriters and even a hoola-hooper extraordinaire!  Ultimately the judges votes went to a young singer-songwriter/guitar player, Austyn Moffat and harmonica player, William "Blind Dog Willie" Fintzel.
Friday was a perfect evening for the Showcase, bringing out a substantial crowd of well-wishers for the contestants.  This year's judges - Don Amon, Holly Maschino and Rev. Paul Ragle - had their work cut out for them as one by one the contestants took stage.
Singers dominated the junior division as well as the senior division.  However, third place in the junior division went to Delaney Head for her amazing acrobatics and hula-hooping skills, with second place going to Avery Willman for her performance of "Journey to the Past" from the musical Anastasia.  First place went to 10-year-old songwriter/singer/guitar player Austyn Moffat of Stillwater.  Moffat, who has been playing since he received his first guitar at age two, performed an original song - "Right Direction" captivating the audience  (and evidently the judges) with its depth of meaning and his unique phrasing and voice.
All three winners performed Saturday afternoon at Festival in the Park as part of their prize packages.  First place also received $200 in cash and two hours of studio time at BrickHouse Studio, Cushing.  Second place received $100 in cash and third, $50 cash.
The senior division featured singer/songwriters/guitar players as well - two in fact - Randy Judd, Cushing and Emily Katherine, Norman.  Although neither won, their uniqueness appeared to be appreciated by audience members.
And speaking of uniqueness, first place winner William "Blind Dog Willie" Fintzel, definitely put on a unique and exuberant performance - always playing to the audience.   "Can you hear a train a'coming?" he asked, as his harmonica began to howl.  From his own rendition of Amazing Grace to train whistles and old-fashioned calliope - Fintzel wowed them with his freestyle harmonica playing and walked away with $400 cash, four hours studio time at BrickHouse Studio and a performance at Festival in the Park.
It was singing that won Britni Greer, Cushing, second place.  Second place scored Greer $200 in cash as well as a performance at the Festival.
Third place went to Darla Hensley, Tulsa, for her rendition of the Patsy Cline classic, "Walking After Midnight."  Hensley took home a cash award of $100, but was unable to appear the following day at Festival in the Park.

In our Gov's race, there is one person who has been there done that...

We have a clear choice. We have had a Gov for 8 years who has done NOTHING. kind of an obubba in reverse. He has done nothing- claims it all- and makes us feel good... you know .. the nice friend who tells you to 'go ____ yourself" and makes you feel so good you ask him to tell you that again...

or we have a leader, proven, who has fought against the status quo in Washington, who knows OK, and has been through what most Okies have been through, and DOES lead, not might lead, or could lead...  and that is a big difference.

I am posting this here simply because last election, I kept my mouth shut, for President. I knew the USA was smart enough to know they were being fooled by obubba. everything about him told us who he was if one looked, so I knew folks were looking and would wise up, but NO... no one did. So this time, I am speaking out.

It would be so refreshing to have fresh ideas, some added enthusiasm from our leaders about how good we as a people are and how great where we live is... and instead of seeing what they might do if elected, electing someone with qualities we all love and admire, like honesty, integrity, tenacity, and a conservative who guards the dollars for a change, instead of spending them.

Keep you eyes open Oklahoman's. It's one thing to be for a candidate because they believe in the right thing, not that 'said' thing..

Just an opinion... what is yours, send it to me and I will post it here... for or against.

My good friend Randy Burch's Mom, Sharon, that was a year ahead of me in school, posted this note..... Heather, DO NOT READ... !

TOUGH GIRLS come from New York, sweet girls come from Texas , Prissy girls come from California , but we OKLAHOMA girls have fire and ice in our blood! We can ride 4wheelers , be a princess, throw a left hook , pack heat, fish with the boys, bake a cake, love with a passion, and if we .....have an opinion...... YOU KNOW...... YOUR GONNA HEAR IT!!!!

"I'm 63 and I'm Tired"
By Robert A. Hall

I'm 63 Except for one semester in college when jobs were scarce and a six-month period when I was between jobs, but job-hunting every day, I've worked, hard, since I was 18. Despite some health challenges, I still put in 50-hour weeks, and haven't called in sick in seven or eight years. I make a good salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, there's no retirement in sight, and I'm tired. Very tired.

I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.

I'm tired of being told that I have to pay more taxes to "keep people in their homes."  Sure, if they lost their jobs or got sick, I'm willing to help. But if they bought McMansions at three times the price of our paid-off, $250,000 condo, on one-third of my salary, then let the left-wing Congress-critters who passed Fannie and Freddie and the Community Reinvestment Act that created the bubble help them with their own money.

I'm tired of being told how bad America is by left-wing millionaires like Michael Moore, George Soros and Hollywood Entertainers who live in luxury because of the opportunities America offers. In thirty years, if they get their way, the United States will have the economy of Zimbabwe , the freedom of the press of China , the crime and violence of Mexico , the tolerance for Christian people of Iran , and the freedom of speech of Venezuela .

I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honor"; of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't "believers"; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Shari'a law tells them to.

I'm tired of being told that "race doesn't matter" in the post-racial world of Obama, when it's all that matters in affirmative action jobs, lower college admission and graduation standards for minorities (harming them the most), government contract set-asides, tolerance for the ghetto culture of violence and fatherless children that hurts minorities more than anyone, and in the appointment of U.S. Senators from Illinois.

I think it's very cool that we have a black president and that a black child is doing her homework at the desk where Lincoln wrote the Emancipation Proclamation. I just wish the black president was Condi Rice, or someone who believes more in freedom and the individual and less arrogantly of an all-knowing government.

I'm tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures" we must let Saudi Arabia use our oil money to fund mosques and mandrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in America , while no American group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia to teach love and tolerance.

I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate. My wife and I live in a two-bedroom apartment and carpool together five miles to our jobs. We also own a  three-bedroom condo where our daughter and granddaughter live. Our carbon footprint is about 5% of Al Gore's, and if you're greener than Gore, you're green enough.

I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses while they tried to fight it off? I damn sure think druggies chose to take drugs. And I'm tired of harassment from cool people treating me like a freak when I tell them I never tried marijuana.

I'm tired of illegal aliens being called "undocumented workers," especially the ones who aren't working, but are living on welfare or crime. What's next?  Calling drug dealers, "Undocumented Pharmacists"?  And, no,  I'm not against Hispanics. Most of them are Catholic, and it's been a few hundred years since Catholics wanted to kill me for my religion.  I'm willing to fast track for citizenship any Hispanic person, who can speak English, doesn't have a criminal record and who is self-supporting without family on welfare, or who serves honorably for three years in our military.... Those are the citizens we need.

I'm tired of latte liberals and journalists, who would never wear the uniform of the Republic themselves, or let their entitlement-handicapped kids near a recruiting station, trashing our military. They and their kids can sit at home, never having to make split-second decisions under life and death circumstances, and bad mouth better people than themselves. Do bad things happen in war?  You bet. Do our troops sometimes misbehave?  Sure. Does this compare with the atrocities that were the policy of our enemies for the last fifty years and still are?  Not even close.  So here's the deal. I'll let myself be subjected to all the humiliation and abuse that was heaped on terrorists at Abu Ghraib or Gitmo, and the critics can let themselves be subject to captivity by the Muslims, who tortured and beheaded Daniel Pearl in Pakistan, or the Muslims who tortured and murdered Marine Lt. Col. William Higgins in Lebanon, or the Muslims who ran the blood-spattered Al Qaeda torture rooms our troops found in Iraq, or the Muslims who cut off the heads of schoolgirls in Indonesia, because the girls were Christian. Then we'll compare notes. British, Canadian and American soldiers are the only troops in history that civilians came to for help and handouts, instead of hiding from in fear.

I'm tired of people telling me that their party has a corner on virtue and the other party has a corner on corruption. Read the papers; bums are bipartisan. And I'm tired of people telling me we need bipartisanship. I live in   Illinois , where the "Illinois Combine" of Democrats has worked to loot the public for years. Not to mention the tax cheats in Obama's cabinet.

I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of both parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.

Speaking of poor, I'm tired of hearing people with air-conditioned homes, color TVs and two cars called poor. The majority of Americans didn't have that in 1970, but we didn't know we were "poor." The poverty pimps have to keep changing the definition of poor to keep the dollars flowing.

I'm real tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and actions. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-whatever for their problems.

Yes, I'm damn tired. But I'm also glad to be 63. Because, mostly, I'm not going to have to see the world these people are making. I'm just sorry for my granddaughter.

How is your obubba care working out?

At OSU
Employee health insurance cost goes from 395 to 476 and a new charge because they can... Of 25 a month to employee on top. Covers less, pays less, and the spouse side goes from 395 to 716 a month. 182% Increase folks.... Not a small chunk of change.
Cost to live is now 8592 a year for me.
The check for my fathers funeral was 7500. And we cannot pay the additional cost so..... Looks like a simple choice, pay the increase till we bankrupt or drop coverage and bankrupt when another big bill hits. Plus prescriptions will now cost more....
This comes on top on no raise in four years to cover cost of living...

How many of you can absorb a new 325 a month charge unexpected?

It is cheaper to die!

And I have known a person my whole life who has worked for same company for their entire life, never late, never misses lots of days for sickness, who can be counted on to get it done, who for 15 of those years NEVER received a raise let alone a thank you, and is now in the fourth year of no raise again, and yet this comes along...

No wonder even McDonalds is thinking of dropping health care for their employees...

Do I dislike Obubba, yes, but not for why you think, I dislike how he and the other idiots have screwed up America, my country and home! And now they are messing with our future for our kids and grandkids!

From my friend Ryan Reid comes this ditty....

Slow me down, LORD, Ease the pounding of my heart by the quieting of my mind. Steady my hurried pace with a vision of the eternal reach of time. Give me, amid the confusion of the day, the calmness of the everlasting hills. Break the tensions of my nerves and muscles with the soothing music of the singing streams that live in my memory. Help me to know the magical, restoring power of sleep. Teach me the art of taking minute vacations of slowing down to look at a flower, to chat with a friend, to pat a dog, to read a few lines from a good book. Slow me down, Lord, and inspire me to send my roots deep into the soil of life's enduring values that I may grow toward the stars of my greater destiny."

Third dumbest deal in Washington and she is a true winner of the title!

Had the honor to listen to the "third" dumbest person in Washington and she fits the title to a t.
I am convinced they (all in Washington) think we are the stupidest folks on this earth and the only way we can possibly understand is for them to talk in cliches and talk DOWN to us.

I am sick of being treated like a third country.

Would be nice to hear some things like honesty, understanding, appreciation, and consideration.

But hey, we were smart enough to elect them, right!

That must be why they think we are dumb. Look at the mess there we elected to serve. Maybe we are getting treated like we deserve for not doing our homework on choosing the last round and obubba and his band of nuts are exactly what we got because of our apathy?

xaminer Editorial: Obamacare is even worse than critics thought

Six months ago, President Obama, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi rammed Obamacare down the throats of an unwilling American public. Half a year removed from the unprecedented legislative chicanery and backroom dealing that characterized the bill's passage, we know much more about the bill than we did then. A few of the revelations:
» Obamacare won't decrease health care costs for the government. According to Medicare's actuary, it will increase costs. The same is likely to happen for privately funded health care.
» As written, Obamacare covers elective abortions, contrary to Obama's promise that it wouldn't. This means that tax dollars will be used to pay for a procedure millions of Americans across the political spectrum view as immoral. Supposedly, the Department of Health and Human Services will bar abortion coverage with new regulations but these will likely be tied up for years in litigation, and in the end may not survive the court challenge.
» Obamacare won't allow employees or most small businesses to keep the coverage they have and like. By Obama's estimates, as many as 69 percent of employees, 80 percent of small businesses, and 64 percent of large businesses will be forced to change coverage, probably to more expensive plans.
» Obamacare will increase insurance premiums -- in some places, it already has. Insurers, suddenly forced to cover clients' children until age 26, have little choice but to raise premiums, and they attribute to Obamacare's mandates a 1 to 9 percent increase. Obama's only method of preventing massive rate increases so far has been to threaten insurers.
» Obamacare will force seasonal employers -- especially the ski and amusement park industries -- to pay huge fines, cut hours, or lay off employees.
» Obamacare forces states to guarantee not only payment but also treatment for indigent Medicaid patients. With many doctors now refusing to take Medicaid (because they lose money doing so), cash-strapped states could be sued and ordered to increase reimbursement rates beyond their means.
» Obamacare imposes a huge nonmedical tax compliance burden on small business. It will require them to mail IRS 1099 tax forms to every vendor from whom they make purchases of more than $600 in a year, with duplicate forms going to the Internal Revenue Service. Like so much else in the 2,500-page bill, our senators and representatives were apparently unaware of this when they passed the measure.
» Obamacare allows the IRS to confiscate part or all of your tax refund if you do not purchase a qualified insurance plan. The bill funds 16,000 new IRS agents to make sure Americans stay in line.
If you wonder why so many American voters are angry, and no longer give Obama the benefit of the doubt on a variety of issues, you need look no further than Obamacare, whose birthday gift to America might just be a GOP congressional majority.

Watch out for the Super Harvest Moon

Watch out for the Super Harvest Moon  (Tonight, Wed., Sept. 22)
media files table

Sept. 22, 2010:  For the first time in almost 20 years, northern autumn is
beginning on the night of a full Moon. The coincidence sets the stage for
a "Super Harvest Moon" and a must-see sky show to mark the change of
seasons.
The action begins at sunset on Sept 22nd, the last day of northern summer.
As the sun sinks in the west, bringing the season to a close, the full
Harvest Moon will rise in the east, heralding the start of fall. The two
sources of light will mix together to create a kind of 360-degree,
summer-autumn twilight glow that is only seen on rare occasions.

Keep an eye on the Moon as it creeps above the eastern skyline. The golden
orb may appear strangely inflated. This is the Moon illusion at work. For
reasons not fully understood by astronomers or psychologists, a
low-hanging Moon appears much wider than it really is. A Harvest Moon
inflated by the moon illusion is simply gorgeous.
The view improves as the night wears on.
Northern summer changes to fall on Sept. 22nd at 11:09 pm EDT. At that
precise moment, called the autumnal equinox, the Harvest Moon can be found
soaring high overhead with the planet Jupiter right beside it. The two
brightest objects in the night sky will be in spectacular conjunction to
mark the change in seasons.
The Harvest Moon gets its name from agriculture. In the days before
electric lights, farmers depended on bright moonlight to extend the
workday beyond sunset. It was the only way they could gather their
ripening crops in time for market. The full Moon closest to the autumnal
equinox became "the Harvest Moon," and it was always a welcome sight.
This one would be extra welcome because it is extra "Harvesty."
Usually, the Harvest Moon arrives a few days to weeks before or after the
beginning of fall. It's close, but not a perfect match. The Harvest Moon
of 2010, however, reaches maximum illumination a mere six hours after the
equinox. This has led some astronomers to call it the "Harvestest Moon" or
a "Super Harvest Moon." There hasn't been a comparable coincidence since
Sept 23, 1991, when the difference was about 10 hours, and it won't happen
again until the year 2029.
A Super Harvest Moon, a rare twilight glow, a midnight conjunction—rarely
does autumn begin with such celestial fanfare.
Enjoy the show!

Before and after!

Andrew in the middle of the Orange Line... on defense, quarterback is ready for snap... notice size of front three players, Andrew is down and ready too....

Grandma and I headed to OKC and then to Edmond last night to watch Andrew and the (Stillwater) Oklahoma Cowboys play football in the Edmond Football League.

Short version here... They WON, again... 19-6!

And guess what... with plays like this... is it any wonder? Andrew is in stance in middle of defense line and in the next photo he has the quarterback on his back, after blowing by not one, not two... but three of the defense's biggest players...

and this was the first series of plays!!! With young men playing like this, this team will be unbeatable!

Needless to say, his level of playing improved with each down and by the end of the game, their opponents were tripping clipping and doing about everything to stop him, and could not do it. I watched as this gentle giant ... came alive, and as the punches were thrown, his elbow found it's way to a player's chin who had actually punched him in the play before, and he fell accidentally on the biggest player holding him to the ground by accident...

In the end ... Andrew Blankinship was the star and my photos prove it, not my words!

PS.. Andrew, this is why you don't want the ball.... they will all try to do what you did so great last night... You were the big monster in the barn... and played great!

This is how it's done!

and he blew by their big 3 and booooooom! have a dirt sandwich Mr. QB!
Uncle Jake will be proud to see this photo.. having gone to the OU and Dallas Cowboys football camps... when he played with the Perkins-Tryon Demons... He could do this too..

Andrew, you ruled. It takes a team to win, and in a very short amount of time, the Oklahoma Cowboys have become just that. I saw them pull off plays one might expect from high school boys - with ease, passing and running.
Last night, in Edmond,  it was Blankinship on Defense and Gundy on Offense that "led" their team to victory!

Gosh, Obubba makes us proud!

WASHINGTON – The number of people in the U.S. who are in poverty is on track for a record increase on President Barack Obama's watch, with the ranks of working-age poor approaching 1960s levels that led to the national war on poverty.

We remember.... and we pray....

On September 11, 2001, Americans awoke to evil on our shores. On this solemn day of remembrance, we hold the victims and their families in our thoughts andprayers. We recall the many acts of heroism on that day, and we honor those who work tirelessly to prevent another attack. May God bless our great country and those who defend her.

Obubba... in every way the opposite of all our past great leaders... never tells the truth, done nothing honorable, and has done not one thing that would make you hold him up as a man of honor for your children to be 'like'... a human zero, you cannot add to or take away from...

Everyone should read this from an Obama classmate at Columbia.
WAYNE ALLYN ROOT: Overwhelm the system

Barack Obama is no fool. He is not incompetent. He knows exactly what he's doing. He is purposely overwhelming the U.S. economy to create systemic failure, economic crisis and social chaos -- thereby destroying capitalism and our country from within.

Barack Obama is my college classmate (Columbia University, class of '83). As Glenn Beck correctly predicted from day one, Obama is following the plan of Cloward & Piven, two professors at Columbia University. They outlined a plan to socialize America by overwhelming the system with government spending and entitlement demands. Add up the clues below. Taken individually they're alarming. Taken as a whole, it is a brilliant, Machiavellian game plan to turn the United States into a socialist/Marxist state with a permanent majority that desperately needs government for survival ... and can be counted on to always vote for bigger government. Why not? They have no responsibility to pay for it.
-- Universal health care. The health care bill had very little to do with health care. It had everything to do with unionizing millions of hospital and health care workers, as well as adding 15,000 to 20,000 new IRS agents (who will join government employee unions). Obama doesn't care that giving free health care to 30 million Americans will add trillions to the national debt. What he does care about is that it cements the dependence of those 30 million voters to Democrats and big government. Who but a socialist revolutionary would pass this reckless spending bill in the middle of a depression?
-- Cap and trade. Like health care legislation having nothing to do with health care, cap and trade has nothing to do with global warming. It has everything to do with redistribution of income, government control of the economy and a criminal payoff to Obama's biggest contributors. Those powerful and wealthy unions and contributors (like GE, which owns NBC, MSNBC and CNBC) can then be counted on to support everything Obama wants. They will kick-back hundreds of millions of dollars in contributions to Obama and the Democratic Party to keep them in power. The bonus is that all the new taxes on Americans with bigger cars, bigger homes and businesses helps Obama "spread the wealth around."
-- Make Puerto Rico a state. Why? Who's asking for a 51st state? Who's asking for millions of new welfare recipients and government entitlement addicts in the middle of a depression? Certainly not American taxpayers. But this has been Obama's plan all along. His goal is to add two new Democrat senators, five Democrat congressman and a million loyal Democratic voters who are dependent on big government.
-- Legalize 12 million illegal immigrants. Just giving these 12 million potential new citizens free health care alone could overwhelm the system and bankrupt America. But it adds 12 million reliable new Democrat voters who can be counted on to support big government. Add another few trillion dollars in welfare, aid to dependent children, food stamps, free medical, education, tax credits for the poor, and eventually Social Security.
-- Stimulus and bailouts. Where did all that money go? It went to Democrat contributors, organizations (ACORN), and unions -- including billions of dollars to save or create jobs of government employees across the country. It went to save GM and Chrysler so that their employees could keep paying union dues. It went to AIG so that Goldman Sachs could be bailed out (after giving Obama almost $1 million in contributions). A staggering $125 billion went to teachers (thereby protecting their union dues). All those public employees will vote loyally Democrat to protect their bloated salaries and pensions that are bankrupting America. The country goes broke, future generations face a bleak future, but Obama, the Democrat Party, government, and the unions grow more powerful. The ends justify the means.
-- Raise taxes on small business owners, high-income earners, and job creators. Put the entire burden on only the top 20 percent of taxpayers, redistribute the income, punish success, and reward those who did nothing to deserve it (except vote for Obama). Reagan wanted to dramatically cut taxes in order to starve the government. Obama wants to dramatically raise taxes to starve his political opposition.
With the acts outlined above, Obama and his regime have created a vast and rapidly expanding constituency of voters dependent on big government; a vast privileged class of public employees who work for big government; and a government dedicated to destroying capitalism and installing themselves as socialist rulers by overwhelming the system.
Add it up and you've got the perfect Marxist scheme -- all devised by my Columbia University college classmate Barack Obama using the Cloward and Piven Plan.
