The Farm Couple will be performing at the Hideaway Pizza on the Fridays of Feb. 2 and 16, from 6: 30-8:30 p.m. Monica Taylor, from Perkins, and Patrick Williams, from Grove, perform traditional and original music at festivals and concerts in the central United States.
This roots-folk duo will be helping Richard and Marti Dermer celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Hideaway. The Dermers are longtime fans of music, from the folk revival of the 50's to the bluegrass revival in the 70's and the old traditional country music. After the Farm Couple performance, there will be an informal jam session of local musicians until 10:30.

You may want to made the short drive to Perkins to see the Mike Larsen gallery on Main Street Perkins. Mike painted the beautiful landscape that graces the just released Oklahoma stamp. He was named 2006 Oklahoman of the Year by Oklahoma Today magazine, too. See his work and you may see him at work in his studio/gallery.
Don’t miss the Oklahoma Icons Centennial Exhibit at the Sheerar Museum at Seventh and Duncan. It is open afternoons Tuesday through Saturday.

Gardiner Art Gallery at OSU will be the site for a reception from 5 to 6 p.m. for Bean Finneran on Friday, Feb. 16, followed by an artist’s lecture from 6 to 7 p.m.
