Here is another view of the wreck. Many thanks to the Perkins Journal for the pics. wow.. could have been a big deal. Jake said he usually bales off on the right side of tractor and his shirt always hangs up on the throttle.. thank goodness it did not hang up as it threw him off of the tractor as it rolled. Normally on these deals, the driver is pinned under the steering wheel, and as you can see, it would have been a very different outcome! Jake is on the right with the ambulance driver, our neighbor Puddin Payne informing Jake "He is GOING to the emergency room". He was pretty sore, and had stiches in one finger, and a BIG knot on his head, otherwise he is ok. And No... no replacement tractor in sight yet, but soon he hopes. The mailbox is the driveway entrance to Mom and Dad's to the right. He was turning left, and the black truck flew around him... on his left, even after he signaled, completely shearing off the front wheel of the tractor on the left!! He had a brush hog that pulled from the drawbar on the tractor behind it. sigh.. lucky I guess!!!
