Here is an keepsake photo of Grandma Moffat's grandfather James Bartlett Snethen and his wife, Ruth Ellen Milham Snethen and their 14 kiddos. they were all born in Illinois, except the youngest that was born in Oklahoma after James loaded 13 kids and wife on to train and moved the family to Kingfisher, OK. This would be the Great Great Grandparents of the Stan Moffat kiddos.... on Elinore Mae Siegrist Moffat side of the family~!

James Bartlett Snethen and Ruth Ellen Milham were married in Jasper County, Illinois, on the 9th of February, 1884 by J. W. Jackson, Pastor. Witness's were George and Naomi Davis.
It was said that when the kids looked out and saw the doctor coming down the road, they knew it was almost time for another addition.
James was born 22 of June, 1858 in Gardnersville, PC, Kentucky, and died 24 of July, 1940 in Kingfisher, OK.
Ruth Ellen Milham was born on the 15 of January, 1868 in Newton, Jasper Co., Illinois and dies the 27 of December, 1955 in Kingfisher, OK.
Maude Clifton Snethen was the 5th of the kiddos born in this union, of 14 total. She is the mother of Elinore Mae, my mom. She used to talk all the time about how wonderful it is to have a big family, now I know why!!!
