Appreciating teachers
For Teacher Appreciation Week, Stillwater NewsPress is recognizing teachers who have positively impacted readers’ lives. Here’s what several readers had to say:
Appreciating Anita Hauf:
Mrs. Hauf rocks! She is a second-grade teacher at Will Rogers Elementary. She has taught me in both first and second grade.
She taught me how to pronounce words correctly and what they mean. She let us raise caterpillars that turned into Painted Lady Butterflies. She understands when you’re hurt. She makes you happy when you’re sad.
She lets us have popcorn parties as a reward for being good. She’s had lots of student teachers because that’s how good she is.
We got to have a young authors fair. We wrote a book and spent lots of time illustrating it. Then we looked at each other’s books and read them to the parents of my friends.
Mrs. HAUF IS A ROCK STAR!! She makes learning fun!
I’m going to miss her next year.
