Austyn.... and me....

Austyn spent yesterday with me the first half the day and both Grandma and I in the afternoon....
We had a great visit, but it was a typical Monday, all day long... for me, on phone, computer, etc...
anyway... Austyn brought along his game player ... and he showed me how to play the skateboard game he had.... it looked hard and (it was!)...!

Anyway, mid afternoon, I challenged him to a game and told him I was going to wax him... he he... and as luck had it, I did... but not really... see, from years of watching kids play, I knew there had to be something one could do over and over and over and it might rack up points... well, I found it and did that, and Austyn just kept learning new tricks and truly showing me all the great moves... so in fact he truly is the MASTER and I am the student.... although the score reflected I won, he was the winner in heart and mind for me....

He is really growing fast. He told me he can now sing and play tunes at the same time with his guitar. He has been taking lessons for some time and is really advancing at a record pace.

I asked him when he was going to get a hair cut, as he has always worn his hair short, and he replied NEVER... ha ha... oh do I remember when.... he he.. back in the 60's .... anyway.... his hair looks great and its wavy and blond.... and pour ole dad needs to get ready cuz these kiddos go from 1st grade to 12 grade in record time.. and in about 9 years... he will be wanting that vet and interest will change from boy things to young ladies.... and ... oh my goodness....

My kiddos know Bob Priess and he and his family are great lifelong friends.... they live between Coyle and Guthrie and Bob is farmer, rancher, pilot, auctioneer, cattle buyer, real estate person... who is really a great 'people' person....

Anyway.. my purpose in stating the above is to share from time to time some of Bob's thoughts with you here.. almost every morning with my coffee comes an email and he usually includes some random thoughts about life that I find very rewarding in their simplicity...

YES... I played it back two times to be sure... he said this country needs .... a president who will lead like Bush...

who will stand up for folks, old, young, poor, rich, etc and who is not afraid of the press, and who will lead us in all ways such as finding new cures, looking to new frontiers.... etc...

and NOT a president based on party or creed or color!!!

GOSH HE IS A SMART MAN.... A VERY SMART MAN...

(Oh and by the way, he also said he never goes to the barber shop, the hair is all natural, and just stays that way... as soon as he towels it off after showering... it pops up... and at 76, soon, he is still blessed by God who, when the hair breaks off, allows another one to popup..... )

“Hillary has a long and painful history of pandering to people she knows nothing about,” said Jones. “So for her visit to Oklahoma, we thought it would be a nice gesture to provide her some pandering guidelines for our great state.”

Oklahoma Pandering Guide 101:

Number 1: Don’t wear our crimson and cream or orange, black and white
You may have gotten away with wearing a Yankees hat when you campaigned in New York, but it’s not going to work here in Oklahoma. Stick with what you know: liberal east coast elitistism.

Number 2: Please don’t try the southern drawl again
Your southern drawl that you pulled out on your stop in Selma, Alabama was more than a little embarrassing. Oklahomans can tell real quick if you aren’t from around here. So you probably should keep that in your back pant suit pocket.

Number 3: Speaking of pant suits

You’ve been criticized on the campaign trail for some of your pretentious pant suit ensembles. Let me stop you before you even think about entering Oklahoma in a pair of Wranglers and a cowboy hat.

Number 4: Your love for tax increases
We know you want to raise taxes on everything from businesses to personal income. However, that stance isn’t going to score you any points in Oklahoma. We want our tax burden to be lower, not higher. That’s why all 77 counties in Oklahoma went for George W. Bush in 2004, and why even Oklahoma’s lone Democrat Congressman Dan Boren predicted you won’t win Oklahoma.

Number 5: Last, but certainly not least, socialized healthcare
We’ve heard you are still pursuing a step-by-step plan to achieve nationalized Health Care. As always, you and your liberal colleagues are advocating another government boondoggle, not a private enterprise solution, and we don’t want the government in our doctor’s offices. So steer clear of discussing this dangerous policy.

“We feel if you stick to our guidelines you may just get out of Oklahoma unscathed. As far as the election, however, I’m afraid you won’t be so lucky,” concluded Jones.
