The big wheel groaned and came to life as we were leaving... and a great time was had by all. This was my first time to the fair, without kiddos and animals, since Ann and I have been married. I was lost! Enjoy the day...and start looking at these photos from the bottom up... later..

We ran across some friends who kept their calves at our place for several years... these ladys are a hoot!!

The young man in western attire probably spent hundreds of dollars for just the right look, and was walking along scratching his behind.. haha... Grandma and I laughed and laughed.. if he only knew, clothes make the man, but sometimes actions help too... haha...

Some folks went high and fast... and round and round...

lots of food, people, games, and the ole man in the moon watching over the last day of this year to end after 8pm.

Now the rides were alive with folks...

Then, it was time to head to the car, as my legs and feet were killing me.. but first. the sitting sun provided one last glimmer of entertainment for us as we were leaving... and it was an awesome site to behold...

I beamed with pride when I saw this young man teaching his kiddo the meaning of tradition and pride in his heritage. We should all do more of this.... I told him I truly admired him.

then we went to a Pow Wow...

here is grandma Moffat and great grandma Moffat checking out her baby blanket she made and entered in the fair. Aunt Marilyn planned the big surprise and we think she did surprise her, in spite of me almost telling her!

We even ran into family and ate dinner together.. and then it was off to show the young lady in the photo her winnings... she did not know... yet...

lots of folks had the same idea... even saw a neighbor, in the red cap, who lives one house away from us for the first time in a year... haha...

we decided to eat a bit.. and there was a long line, but lots of time to catch up with friends and neighbors...

and while there... we found this little blanket made by Elinore Moffat, age 87, of Perkins for another of her great grandchildren who is on the way... but not here yet... of course, another first place, congrats mom!!

We ran out to see if any of my photos won a ribbon or not, and we did not.... sigh.... but, maybe next year...??? We did win what we went after, showing the most wins a Family Portrait.. so we did, and I have to get my pic in the paper for having the most photos entered... anyway... we will do this in the spring of 2007 so we can have our newest grandbaby in the photo too.... yeah haw...
