How beautiful this land must have been before man came... and messed it up...

Posted by Picasa

back by the geese.. wonder if this is a sign of things to come for them.. the shells on the ground... empty...

we have to walk past this mess our neighbors are making on our land.. guess they can't haul things to the dump like most due...

we are almost to the south end of our walk...
Posted by Picasa

looks like our farm is a dumping ground for the neighbors who are too lazy to haul things to the dump like most folks..

looking west at the meadow on the farm west of us and north of MK's home...

my Grandfather Siegrist got an attorney to stop this line from cutting across the land.. he wanted it put on the line between the farms, not through

the heart of them... he almost cried... He got a State Senator to try to stop it, but then, back then, payola was something that happened all the time.. and I bet the senators pockets were lined by the high line company.. and Grandpa thought that too.. so the line was put in.... what a scare on the land.. on real windy days... the hum of the lines is very loud... wind blowing through them ...
