Austyn has a ball tournment in Perkins this weekend...

Tournament info: There are 7 teams in this tournament. It is 3 guaranteed games. 2 games on Saturday and at least 1 on Sunday. The only rule change from what we are currently playing is that a dropped 3rd strike is an out.

Playing Times: We will play at 9:30 and 12:30 on Saturday. Where we will be seeded in the Sunday bracket and what time we play on Sunday will be determined by how we play on Saturday. They will let me know Saturday evening what time our first game is on Sunday and I will communicate that to you ASAP by phone and email.

The overall first game on Sunday will be at 10:00, with each subsequent game an hour ½ after the start of the previous game.
I do not know if we will play at 10:00 or not. What I do know is that we will play on Sunday until we lose, so be prepared to be out there all day.

Please be at the fields 30 minutes before the game so we can get warmed up and be ready to play at the start time.
Location:
Quick word of warning. The City of Perkins is having their "Old Settlers/Harvest Day Parade" on Main street starting at 9:00.
I am giving you the back door directions to the fields. The Perkins fields are located about a mile South of Highway 33, down Old Perkins Road. The directions I have been given are: (1) Go south on 177 to Highway 33. (2) Continue South on Perkins Road (It is the scary looking road with the Casino Sign just to the West of the 177-33 Intersection). (3) Go South about 2 miles, to the 2nd left (128th Street/Knipe St.) and turn left (or East). (4) Continue East, less than a mile.

Fields are on the north side of the street, at top of the hill.

the other news of yesterday..... and it was great news...

I was toddling away at my desk, or is it toiling away... ha ha.. either will work as it makes it sound like I was working.. and heard someone come through the door talking about Jake Moffat and wondering how to get hold of him and then there was a pause and one says ... wow... I know, there is Jake's Dad.. ha ha... and it was our dear friend Jerry Payne, Lead Guitarist for No Justice! Wow it was great to see him and of course I gave him Jake's information... and he was even more fired up. It seems they were putting a Jam together at Eskimo Joes in Stillwater and he wanted Jake in it... Jerry was there to help another young local artist master his CD project, so I texted Jake in excitement never expecting to hear back.. those of you who know Jake know what I am talking about.. but within SECONDS there was an answer... YES WHEN.... so last night Mrs. Moffat's very musically talented baby boy went in to Stillwater to Eskimo Joe's and Jammed with a bunch of local Stillwater artists.

As a father, I am very proud of Jake getting back on his horse and riding again. It was a BIG step and his Mom and I realize this. What is even bigger is the talent he has inside and hopefully this will lead to his sharing it with the world in a much bigger way. No matter the outcome.. this was a huge first step. I have not heard about the night, but hopefully will by end of this day...

Meanwhile, big things just keep happening with work. Greg and I now have many diverse music businesses we have put together and they are starting to fly on their own. We have Flatland Recording Studio for artists to record their works, Flatland Entertainment to book artists through working with some from venues to film and advertisements and beyond, GP Management to offer management, guidance and advice to bands who are serious about where they want to be, Tough Records to offer a label to our artists and it is becoming the talk of the Southwest USA music world as we are doing all things electronic from contracts to promotion, and we are working on our MIU which we are developing as MIUonline as a school for musicians and artists who want to truly know and understand the music business and we are developing a publishing side for print and hopefully a regional magazine for OK Music, and a music publishing company for working with just OK artists, plus Payne County Line Promotions... and for those who have not heard, I am also part of Premier Auctions of Oklahoma, along with my longtime friend Bob Priess. Just wanted to share with you that I really do work.. haha... in spite of what you hear.

Austyn Lee Moffat, performing his new hit original song "Isabella" with his instructor Jesse of the band Kuneck, from Stillwater

at the first Daddy'Os Jam last night in Downtown Stillwater. Greg and I proudly gave each student an hour of Flatland Recording Studio time to come in and lay down their song to cd and have it to keep forever, and there were many excited kiddos, and even parents at this idea.
All in all, there is some great talent among the students and I am sure that in 5 to ten years, many of these will be heading or in bands performing around the area... It was a great thing that Mike did for them to open up Daddy'Os for this Jam. It took a lot of work and he did GOOOOOOOODDDDDDD>>>>>>!

But in the end... Austyn did a great job! He sang his song while playing his guitar and Jesse played along... Austyn wrote it and Austyn and Jesse collaborated on the musicial arrangement. Grandma and I were very proud of him. He will be a rocker some day before long... keep those hits coming Austyn, and thank you Jesse for sharing your life with youngsters so they can learn from among the best there is... you rock!
