The Lord's Ballgame, from Super Uncle Ivan

The Lord's Ballgame

Freddy and the Lord stood by to observe a baseball game. The Lord's team was playing Satan's team.

The Lord's team was at bat, the score was tied zero to zero, and it was the bottom of the 9th inning with two outs. They continued to watch as a batter stepped up to the plate named 'Love.'

Love swung at the first pitch and hit a single, because "Love never fails."

The next batter was named 'Faith', who also got a single because Faith works with Love.

The next batter up was named Godly Wisdom. Satan wound up and threw the first pitch.

Godly Wisdom looked it over and let it pass: Ball one. Three more pitches and Godly Wisdom walked because he never swings at what Satan throws.

The bases were now loaded. The Lord then turned to Freddy and told him He was now
going to bring in His starplayer. Up to the plate stepped 'Grace'. Freddy said, "He sure doesn't look like much!"

Satan's whole team relaxed when they saw Grace. Thinking he had won the game, Satan wound up and fired his first pitch. To the shock of everyone, Grace hit the ball harder than anyone had ever seen! But Satan was not worried; his center fielder let very few get by.

He went up for the ball, but it went right through his glove, hit him on the head and sent him crashing on the ground;

the roaring crowds went wild as the ball

continued over the fence . . . for a home run!

The Lord's team won!

The Lord then asked Freddy if he knew why Love, Faith and Godly Wisdom could get on base but couldn't win the game. Freddy answered that he didn't know why.

The Lord explained, "If your love, faith and wisdom had won the game, you would think you had done it by yourself. Love, Faith and Wisdom will get you on base but only My Grace can get you Home:

'For by Grace are you saved, it is a gift of God; not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephestians 2:8-9

Psalm 84:11, "For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly."

Jesus' Test

This is an easy test; you score 100 or zero. It's your choice. If you aren't ashamed to do this, please follow the directions. Jesus said, "If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you before my Father.

Not ashamed!! Pass this on...only if you mean it.

I do Love God. He is my source of existence and Savior. He keeps me functioning each and everyday. Without Him, I am nothing, but with him:

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Phil 4:13

Madison Ann update... and Phil's last day at Rains Trucking

Yes, Phil is taking another big step and going out on his own again to lay brick and stone. He is so gifted, and loves the outdoor work, so he will be starting that again on Monday. He was under a lot of stress in his old job, so good bye stress.. haha.. well, sort of...

Madison Ann is having a time taking in enough of her food the natural way, so Heather is supplementing with formula too. She has not gained like the Drs. think she should, so they are taking her in almost daily to check her out. But maybe, they are on a better path now, especially that she will be getting both. Heather reports she kinda has her day and nights messed up too.. she likes to mess around eating durning the day and eats all night long.. haha.. might be the Moffat in her, haha...

Ann is home sick ... she says it's allergys.. but it's a bit more than that. She has no voice.. or hardly a voice, and is not feeling very well. She is in laying down right now, and for those of you who know her well, she NEVER does that! No matter how sick she is, but this time.. she is doing that.

Jake has been helping Fred paint the new fence all around his property across from Grandma Moffat's. It takes in all the frontage of his ranch.. so Jake's hands are full, plus they are short handed at his new job with OSU, so he is working double time there as well.

I have two new websites about ready to go. One is online now and the other ... well, let's put it this way, the servers are now looking for the site.. so in a few hours hopefully, it will be online. www.pickensauctions.com is the one that is online and www.greggpickens.com will be online soon, hopefully!!

I have a couple of new ones I have started. I also do www.paynecountycattle.com for the Payne County Cattle Producers Association, and one for an online Music Industry University, that I am not quite done with. The owner of that site is having a baby too this week, so things are slow there. Another is about ready to go for flatland entertainment, and www.thebartlesvillemusicscene.com is another one I have online. Several more .. but ... haha...

All I know for now. Last night was a wonderful blessing, with all the rain, or a bit of rain, about a 0.25 inch. but that's more than we have recieved since Jan, 05.

Later.. have a great day!

While we are on the subject of Mothers... Randi, Tammy, Heather, Ann, Great Grandma Moffat... and all the rest ....

Happy Mother's Day one and all!!! Here is a little poem that 'bout says it all....

A Mother’s Love

There is no love, like a mother’s love,
no stronger bond on earth…
like the precious bond that comes from God,
to a mother, when she gives birth.

A mother’s love is forever strong,
never changing for all time…
and when her children need her most,
a mother’s love will shine.

God bless these special mothers,
God bless them every one…
for all the tears and heartache,
and for the special work they’ve done.

When her days on earth are over,
a mother’s love lives on…
through many generations,
with God’s blessings on each one.

Be thankful for our mothers,
for they love with a higher love…
from the power God has given,
and the strength from up above.

Jill Lemming

Thanks Mom's... One and all... for all you do... that which is seen and that you think we don't know about.. thanks for ALL you do all the time...
