Someone had a very Happy Birthday I heard.....
I had told Jonathan and Randi I might not be at Kaitlyn's Birthday on Sunday as I figured I might be too pooped to pop after a few days walking in in Branson and not being used to it, and that was the case. Sunday was in fact my worst day for recovery. Thought for a time I might need to call someone for help.... but that only lasted about 45 mins and all is much better today... Guess I came that close to being in hospital again. So... long story short, I did not get to attend Kaitlyn's Birthday, but I do know Heather along with Andrew and Madison and Jake and Trisha and Grandma Ann did attend and reported a great time was had by all. Ann took a bunch of photos and they are all online now in our online photo albums... on dotphoto.com. Enjoy!
smiling..... oh my maybe.... laughing.... haha... I truely am....

The Injured Marine
.
A U.S. Marine squad was marching north of Fallujah when they came upon an Iraqi insurgent fighter, badly injured and unconscious. On the opposite side of the road was an American Marine in a similar but less serious state.
.
The Marine was conscious and alert and as first aid was given to both men, the squad leader asked the injured Marine what had happened.
.
The Marine reported, "I was heavily armed and moving north along the Highway here, and coming south was a heavily armed insurgent. We saw each other and both took cover in the ditches along the road.
.
I yelled to him that Saddam Hussein was a miserable lowlife, and he yelled back that Ted Kennedy is a good-for-nothing, fat, left wing liberal drunk."
.
"So I said that Osama Bin Laden dresses and acts like a frigid, angry lesbian!"
.
He retaliated by yelling, "Oh yeah, well so does Hillary Clinton!"
.
"And, there the two of us stood in the middle of the road, shaking hands, when a truck hit both of us!"
.
Enjoy the day.........

Where do I start... wow....
Well, the photos below this point are from a wonderful wonderful vacation... yelp.. VACATION.... Grandma M and I took with our wonderful friends... Craig and Missy Hannan. IT WAS OUR FIRST TRIP AWAY FROM HOME ON A REAL VACATION IN OUR MARRIED 35 YEARS THAT WAS A VACATION!!!
I was floored at how wonderful the scenery was... and how nice it is to get away..... wow!!!
We went to Silver Dollar City and Branson, MO and had a blast!! Course most of you that know me - probably know I measure things in calories... haha... yes... every meal we had was AWESOME!!! Not one bad meal or wish we had ate somewhere else.... not one! Such wonderful courteous Waite Staff, wow.... and tons of calories...ha ha....
We spent a day and half in Silver Dollar City and I don't think we seen but maybe half of it... really looked at things... toooooo much to see. Course we did not take enough money, who does, and if we had more money we would have had to have it shipped home, ha ha....
We did all the tourist things... and are very glad we did. We rode the Ducks, saw Silver Dollar City, saw the long lines of traffic, and sit in them too... ha ha... another story... well, maybe you might have had to be there, ha ha... We walked the new Branson Landing along the lake and saw stores that had things in them with more zeros than I could count... saw their Bass Pro... wished we had a pontoon boat ... might have to think about that... ate wonderful meals at unusual places... except one... we chose the great classic OLIVE GARDEN for one.... had a burger that was truly a one of a kind... ice cream on the strip at 11pm and I mean 11 and they closed at 11, another story.. ha ha.. found Dick Clark's and sat and ate while we remembered when, Landry's for the best seafood ever, met every artist we brought things home from with tons of stories... rode the train, walked in crowds bigger than we could count, smelled food we wished we could eat, we just were toooooo full..... one bus that filled an eating establishment with a crowd and we followed them in and learned what "hauling people like cattle was all about", and saw the most unusual folks... (sure we looked normal to them, ha ha... ) smelled smells we could not figure out, saw a ship that sunk, rode a truck into a lake, time standing still, glasses that broke, laughed more than I have in my life, cried silent tears for those lives lost, saw events that happen in our past, foreign country entertainers with country music halls that were jam packed, more 'old' folks than one could image... of course we were not one of the couples... mom and I... ha ha... met a stranger who showed us his "pride and joy", decided to build a wood shop and add some metal art to it here... and take things there to sell... and planned our next trip.....
The long and short of it... Thank you very much Craig and Missy for inviting us along on the trip of our life time. You guys are just plain wonderful and it's an honor to know you two... and share something so wonderful with friends.
Tons of photos on dotphoto.. will try to share in the future... for now... need to rest legs ... and body.. ha ha...
